About The Course
General Nursing & Midwifery (G.N.M.) is a professional nursing programme designed to develop knowledge, clinical competence and professional responsibility in nursing care.
Students study fundamental nursing sciences, medical-surgical nursing, community health, maternal and child healthcare, mental health and other essential areas of nursing practice.
The programme combines theoretical education with practical and clinical exposure to help students develop confidence in providing safe and compassionate patient care.

ADMISSION
Eligibility & Admission Criteria
Minimum age is 17 years and the upper age limit is 35 years. There is no upper age bar for ANM/LHV candidates.
Candidates must pass 10+2 with English from a recognised board, with at least 40% marks overall and 40% in English individually.
Eligible backgrounds include Science, Arts and Vocational streams. Government-recognised State Open School and NIOS qualifications are accepted; Science is preferred.
Vocational ANM candidates need at least 40% from an INC-recognised institution. Registered ANM candidates with pass marks may apply. Health Care Science (Vocational) candidates need at least 40%.
Candidates must be medically fit. Admission is held once each academic year.
Foreign candidates must obtain an equivalence certificate for their 10+2 qualification from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi. The institution and State Nursing Council verify equivalence.
The document provides 5% qualifying-mark relaxation for SC/ST candidates and 3% reservation for candidates with 40%-50% locomotor disability of the lower extremity. Other reservation follows state policy and applies within sanctioned seats.
Foreign applicants may also need proof of nationality, age, AIU equivalence and other documents required by the institution.
